FOUR Favourites: Beauty Brands Founded by Women

Happy International Women’s Day!  FOUR London was founded by four talented and successful women:  “We love to celebrate the women in our team, and our clients who support and inspire us. We also love supporting other women in business, so to celebrate International Women’s Day 2022, here are four of our favourite beauty brands, founded by women.”

Eve Taylor

Eve Taylor first started out in the beauty industry as a beauty therapist, and quickly became interested in the ancient practice of aromatherapy. After developing her own range of pre-blended aromatherapy oils, Eve founded the Eve Taylor business in London in 1963. In 2005 the company developed an aromatherapy retail line so that clients could keep their skin glowing, in between appointments with Eve.  In 2008 Eve’s brilliant achievements were recognised and she was awarded an OBE by the Queen,  in recognition of her contribution to aromatherapy and the beauty industry. At FOUR Life you’ll find a collection of Eve’s facial serums and toners includingNo.2 Calming Aromatic Facial.

Serum. Made with wheat germ oil, basil, niaouli, sandalwood, geranium and lavender. The serum helps to strengthen skin and is particularly good for those prone to redness. as it leaves your skin feeling nourished and healthy.

EQUI

EQUI was founded in 2015 when Alice, a nutritional therapist recommended a full regime of vitamins, minerals and superfoods, to nourish her lifelong friend Rosie’s body, help her stressful lifestyle, and calm her adult acne. Within a month, Rosie’s skin was clearer and she felt incredible. Inspired by the results, the duo set about simplifying the total body regime into an all-in-one supplement that nourishes the entire body,  and giving multiple benefits. Focussing on women’s specific wellness goals, the collection includes the likes of the Beauty Oil Edition and the Menopause Formula. With its 48 premium bioavailable nutrients,  the formula aids bone density, joint health and the cardiovascular system.  It also provides soothing support to help women with both perimenopause and menopausal symptoms.

Clockface Beauty

Clockface Beauty was founded by mother and daughter team Karen Horsley and Sarah Thomas.  Having worked as a specialist scientist for over 30 years, Karen gave her daughter Sarah what is now their Signature Collection Facial Serum when Sarah’s skin changed during pregnancy. Sarah says this was a life-changing moment and ‘unlocked the door to beautiful skin’. WIth a big emphasis on natural ingredients, all their treatments are 100% plant and nature-derived and are waterless, meaning each product is incredibly potent so delivers better results,  and they’re more sustainable as water is not wasted in the development process..
