Embrace ancient Chinese self-care practises of the Gua Sha, by using it to sculpt facial contours, release tension along the jawline and brow bone, as well as elevate stress, headaches and congested sinuses. ‘Scrapping’ as it’s often called, helps redirect energy flow, reducing inflammation and increasing blood flow, stimulating the lymphatic system. Rose quartz promotes love and healing and helps unveil emotional blockages.
Apply your favourite facial oil before starting ‘scrapping’, to avoid dragging the skin. Tilt the tool at a 45 degree angle and run it up the neck towards the jaw line, in one direction. Smooth it along the jaw, up and around cheekbones, across the forehead and gently around the eyes. Continue for 5-6 minutes for best results.
